Beta / Early Access Terms
Effective July 24, 2026
These Beta / Early Access Terms apply when Proctorly is offered as a beta, pilot, preview, early access, invite-only, test, or experimental service.
These terms supplement the Proctorly Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Beta Status
Proctorly is currently in development and may be offered through beta or early access programs.
Beta features may be incomplete, experimental, unstable, inaccurate, unavailable, or changed without notice.
2. No Production-Grade Commitment
During beta or early access, Proctorly does not guarantee:
- uninterrupted service;
- error-free operation;
- full feature availability;
- successful exam monitoring;
- complete detection of integrity concerns;
- accurate flags;
- accurate AI reports;
- compatibility with every browser, device, school network, or operating system;
- permanent availability of any feature;
- production-grade support or uptime.
3. Monitoring May Fail
Proctorly’s monitoring tools may fail, miss events, create false flags, capture incomplete information, or generate inaccurate reports.
Educators and institutions should not treat Proctorly as the sole basis for academic, disciplinary, grading, or misconduct decisions.
4. AI Reports May Be Inaccurate
AI-generated reports may be incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, or based on limited information.
Educators and institutions must independently review all relevant evidence, student explanations, and school policy before taking action.
5. Changes to Features
We may add, remove, modify, suspend, or discontinue beta features at any time.
Settings, plan limits, dashboards, monitoring tools, AI features, reports, retention periods, storage mechanisms, and integrations may change during beta.
6. Data During Beta
Data processed during beta is handled according to the Proctorly Privacy Policy and any applicable school or data protection agreement.
We may delete beta data at the end of a beta, pilot, trial, or inactive account period, subject to applicable law and school agreements.
Student data must not be used in beta unless all required school, parent, guardian, and student notices or consents are in place.
7. Feedback
If you provide comments, suggestions, ideas, bug reports, or other feedback about Proctorly, you grant Proctorly permission to use that feedback without restriction or compensation, provided that any feedback containing personal or confidential information is governed by the Proctorly Privacy Policy and Data Retention and Deletion Policy, and that we will not publicly identify students or disclose student personal information in connection with feedback without appropriate authorization.
8. Beta Suspension or Termination
We may suspend, limit, or end beta access at any time for product, security, legal, privacy, operational, or business reasons.
9. School and Student Privacy Still Apply
Beta status does not remove student privacy obligations.
Educators, schools, tutors, homeschool users, and other account holders remain responsible for required notices, consents, authorizations, accommodations, and lawful use.
